Yoga with betsy cracco

Join Betsy Cracco for a traditional Vinyasa style yoga class every Monday at 6pm. Class runs between approximately 60 minutes with 10 minutes of relaxation at the end. We begin with centering, followed by sun salutations, standing poses and floor sequence. The objective is to ground, build heat, stretch and relax, in that order. I teach with a heavy focus on theme that is echoed in music selection, readings and poses. This serves as an anchor for our practice. Themes typically also reflect nature, and yogic philosophy. Favorite inspirations are Mary Oliver, John O'Donohue, Pema Chodron and Rolf Gates. This is an all-levels class with plenty of available modifications. There is always an additional focus on stretching that would benefit athletic performance (especially cycling)
Authenticity and connection. These core principles have served as the foundation of my practice as a psychologist for the past 20 years. Invested in helping others along their path of growth, I believe deeply that yoga can guide an equally powerful journey, led by the flow and challenge of asana and breath. By becoming quiet we can listen to the whisper of our own heart and find the joy and light of the true self. By listening to our own heart we are more able to discover the hearts of others.I love a playlist that moves you, a sunrise that shines on you and a sangha to support you. Let's practice with courage. Together we elevate ourselves and each other.
