Lindsay Noelle Shaw Lehmann is a Putnam, CT native. After attending Rochester Institute of Technology and earning her BA in Professional Photographic Illustration (’99), she began teaching photography at The Pomfret School, in Pomfret, CT. At the start of her teaching career, she also began her photography business, Lindsay Shaw Photography. Since then, she has earned her MA in Art Education from Boston University (’12) and begun raising her two small children, Clayton & Rowan, who remain the focus of much of her favorite work. She has produced a few bodies of personal work, which have shown in various galleries across New England.
On occasion, Lindsay teaches photography to adults and adolescents at the Silver Circle Art Center in Putnam, as well as various children’s art camps throughout New England in the summer months. In 2011, Lindsay began Teachers for Teachers, an organization helping severely underpaid educators in Cincoyo, Nicaragua. This mission trip was the center of personal and artistic grown for Lindsay.
Fifteen years into her professional career, she continues to spend her time working with her various students and clients while nurturing her photography, gardens and family in her old Victorian house on the hill.
