Carol Dunn


Carol Dunn is an award winning printmaker, photographer, and mixed media artist, specializing in alternative processes for creating artwork. Some of these processes include Photopolymer etchings, overprinted collage, assemblage, gelatin prints, paper pulp paintings and altered photos. She is known for her interplay of color and texture, and the professional presentation of her work.

Carol holds a B.S. degree in Rehabilitation Services from the University of Connecticut, and an Associate in Fine Arts degree from QVCC (Quinebaug Valley Community College). She is an Elected Artist in the Norwich Arts Center, Mystic Museum of Art, Essex Art Association, Connecticut Women Artists, and Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts; she is an Associate Artist with the South County Art Association, and the Lyme Art Association. Her studio, Little River Studio & Gallery, features views of the river, lots of natural light and an etching press, where she holds classes in her many techniques. She also teaches classes at QVCC, Manchester Community College, Mystic Museum of Art, Silver Circle Studio, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at URI, Meiklem Kiln Works, New London Adult Ed, and the Norwich Arts Center. She has also been a CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher) since 2010.

Carol exhibits frequently in the New England area and on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where she vacations. Her work is held in private collections throughout the US, and in far flung areas including Ireland, France, and Australia.
