Bud Cook is a painter and illustrator living in Northeast Connecticut. He received a BFA in painting/printmaking from Rhode Island College in 1990, and since then has pursued a career in graphic design, web and interactive media design, as well as comic art and commercial illustration. As an illustrator, some of Bud’s past clients include; Magic: The Gathering, Dark Horse Comics and Image Comics.
In the summer of 2012 he began as an instructor with the program L’Atelier au Château, a Drawing Program in France created by Jean-Paul and Beth Jacquet. Bud co-teaches this intensive two-week drawing program with Jean-Paul. In 2014 they completed their fourth year of the program, (Bud’s third year). They will return to Europe next year for Drawing in Italy, a program for high school students, then on to France for a professional program for adults in the town of Mussy Sur Seine. His main focus is the fine arts; drawing and painting, and occasionally sculpture. In the Fall of 2014 Bud made a career change and is working full time now on his creative pursuits; a combination of commercial illustration, fine arts and teaching.
